VITACCA BALLET AUDITION Seeking Professional Dancers ages 17+

COMPANY POSITIONS | OPEN UNTIL FILLED: Vitacca Ballet is seeking professional contemporary ballet dancers, ages 17+, for the 2021/22 Season. Paid rehearsal/performance contracts run September 2021 through May 2022. We are currently unable to offer visas for international applicants. Submissions accepted until positions are filled. Please see below for audition details. Registration required.

JOB DETAILS: As a repertoire-based company, Vitacca Ballet performs original works created by our 2021/22 Season guest choreographers Garrett Smith, Tina Kay Bohnstedt, and Andrea Dawn Shelley. While additional season dates are still being confirmed, company premieres are planned for January 15 and April 23, 2022 as well as festival appearances and guesting performances.

REHEARSALS Monday–Friday | 9:15am–2:30pm: Vitacca Ballet works primarily at the Houston location of Vitacca Vocational School for Dance (2311 Dunlavy St.). Performances and additional rehearsals will occur throughout Houston and The Woodlands, TX.

PAY: $400/ rehearsal week and $500/production weeks

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS | VIDEO: Register at by selecting Video Audition. A confirmation email will follow with additional details about submitting your video. Please include: Dancer introduction with full name and program for which they are auditioning; Four to five barre exercises (one side); Center adagio including développé a la seconde on both right and left and en dehors pirouette; Center pointe work including a pirouette, pique arabesque, and extension of choice; Center contemporary phrasing on flat. Submit current headshot, dance shot, and resume via email at time of registration to; subject– Vitacca Ballet Audition.
