History:
Errol White Company produces work of high quality with an emphasis on authentic movement vocabulary; specifically how the vocabulary of the body is used as an abstract language to engage and connect emotionally without the need to prescribe a conventional narrative, allowing the audience to shift from dark to light exploring the emotional landscape of their own life.
In June 2008 Errol received project funding for setting up a new company 'errol white dance' from the Scottish Arts Council and to create and tour the 'Three Works' trilogy performance in Scotland during June 2009.
A teacher and dancer with over 20 years’ experience, including five years as rehearsal director with Scottish Dance Theatre, Errol is in-demand as a guest lecturer in dance colleges and other educational settings throughout the UK, teaching the next generation of contemporary dancers; he also leads residencies and classes for professional dance companies.
Errol is a previous recipient of the Dance Europe magazine’s Critics Award for Best Male Performer, the Marion North Mentoring Award for Choreography, the Lisa Ullman Travelling Scholarship Award and, more recently, Errol was appointed the Artistic Director of National Youth Dance Wales.
Edinburgh-born Davina Givan is a highly-experienced and articulate performer/dancer. Davina has performed extensively throughout the UK and abroad, including tours with Richard Alston Dance Company, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Scottish Dance Theatre.
During her career, Davina has received numerous awards, including the Critics Award by Dance Europe Magazine (best female performer), The Mitchel Dance Award and a nomination for the highly-prized, Outstanding Young Artist category in the Critics Circle Dance Awards (2002) and more recently, Davina was appointed the Creative Director of National Youth Dance Wales.
Davina is also an experienced teacher, leading and facilitating education work with various age groups and in a variety of educational and professional settings.

The project will run for a period of 12 weeks including a tour of Scotland.
Candidates should have strong contemporary and classical technique and extensive performance experience.
